Privacy policy

Ketweb Studio ("Ketweb", "we") operates this website. This policy explains what information the site collects, why, and what happens to it. It covers the website itself; information you provide during a paid engagement is governed by the agreement for that work.

Information you give us

The contact form and the business tech audit form collect the details you type into them. Depending on the form, that can include your name, email address, phone number, town, business name, website address, industry, team size and a description of your problem.

This information is used to respond to your enquiry and, if you go on to work with us, to deliver that work. It is not sold, rented or traded, and it is not added to a marketing list without you asking for that separately.

Information collected automatically

• Marketing attribution: when you arrive from a link with campaign parameters, or from another website, the site records the landing page, the referring site and any campaign parameters in your browser's session storage. This tells us which channel produced an enquiry.
• Technical information: as with any website, the hosting provider processes standard request information such as your IP address and browser type in order to serve pages and protect against abuse.
• Analytics: if an analytics provider is configured, it records page views and interactions such as which buttons were clicked. Form contents, names, email addresses, phone numbers and free-text messages are deliberately never sent to analytics.

How submissions are handled

When you submit a form, the details are transmitted to our server over an encrypted connection and passed to the delivery service we use to receive enquiries — for example an email provider or a customer relationship system. Those providers process the information on our behalf and only for that purpose.

If a submission cannot be delivered, the site tells you so rather than showing a success message. In that situation nothing has been stored and nobody has received your message.

Retention

Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to respond and to maintain a record of work discussed or carried out, after which they are deleted. Attribution data disappears when you close the browser tab.

Your rights

Under Canadian privacy law — the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act and British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act — you may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, and ask for it to be deleted where we are not required to keep it. Use the contact page and we will respond.

Third parties

The site is served by a hosting provider and may use an analytics provider and a lead delivery provider. Each processes only what it needs in order to provide its service. We do not share your information with anyone else except where required by law.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Material changes will be described rather than quietly edited in.
