Get it fixed today, without anyone coming over.

For anything that lives in software rather than hardware, a secure screen-sharing session is faster than scheduling a visit — and you can watch exactly what is being done.

At a glance

  • No software left running afterwards
  • You can see everything on screen
  • You can end the session at any moment
  • Often available the same day

Most technology problems are not physical.

Error messages, sign-in failures, software that will not update, a computer that has become sluggish, email that stopped sending — none of these require anyone to be in the room. A short remote session gets them resolved while you are still holding the thought.

It also means you can see the work happen. The screen stays yours, everything is narrated, and if you would rather be talked through a step so you can do it yourself next time, that is a perfectly reasonable way to spend the session.

Well suited to remote

  • An error message you do not understand
  • Email that stopped sending or receiving
  • Being locked out of an account
  • Software that will not install or update
  • A computer that has slowed down
  • Wanting to be shown how to do something

What it covers

How a remote session works

The process is deliberately transparent. Nothing is installed permanently, nothing happens out of your sight, and control stays with you throughout.

You get a link
A one-time connection link sent by email or text. There is no permanent remote-access software installed on your machine.
You approve the connection
The session only begins when you accept it, and you can see everything happening on your screen the entire time.
We work through it together
Each step is explained as it happens, so you know what changed rather than just that something did.
You keep control
You can take the mouse back or end the session instantly at any point, for any reason.
Passwords stay yours
Where a password is required, you type it. We do not ask for your passwords, and you should be wary of anyone who does.
The session ends completely
Access ends when the session does. A fresh link is needed next time, so nothing is left with standing access to your computer.

When remote is not the answer

Wi-Fi coverage, printers that are not yet on the network, hardware faults, failing drives and physical setup all need someone in the room. If that is what your problem turns out to be, you will be told before booking a session rather than after.

A note on scam calls

Legitimate remote support is never initiated by an unexpected phone call claiming your computer has a virus. Ketweb only connects to a session you have arranged. If someone calls you out of the blue asking for remote access, hang up.

Being shown, not just fixed

Plenty of sessions are half repair and half tutorial. If you would rather learn the steps than have them done for you, say so at the start and the session runs that way.

FAQ

Questions about this service.

Is remote access safe?

When it is arranged by you and time-limited, yes. The connection needs your explicit approval, everything happens visibly on your screen, you can end it instantly, and access expires with the session rather than persisting afterwards.

Will you be able to see my personal files?

Whatever is on screen is visible during the session, which is why it is worth closing anything private before starting. Nothing is copied or browsed beyond what the problem requires.

What if it turns out to need a visit?

Then we stop and say so. If a remote session cannot resolve the problem, it makes no sense to keep going.

Do I need to install anything?

Only a small one-time connection tool, which stops working once the session ends. There is nothing left running on your computer afterwards.
