Ketweb Studio helps people in the Fraser Valley and Metro Vancouver with technology — the everyday kind at home, and the kind that decides whether a business wins work or wastes hours. It is the same skill applied at two very different scales.

Why both, and not one or the other.

On paper, fixing a laptop and building an integration between a CRM and an accounting system have nothing in common. In practice they start identically: someone describes a problem in their own words, and the job is to work out what is actually happening underneath.

The two sides also feed each other. Explaining things to someone who does not work in technology is the best possible training for writing a proposal a business owner can actually evaluate. And knowing how software fails in the real world is what stops a home network being over-engineered.

Most technology businesses pick a lane because it is easier to market. Keeping both is a deliberate decision about what the work should feel like, not an inability to specialise.

How Ketweb works

Principles, in the sense of things that cost money to hold.

Anyone can list values. These are the ones that regularly mean recommending less work than could be sold.

Explain it, do not perform it: Technical language is used when it is the accurate word, not when it is the impressive one. If an explanation leaves you unable to make a decision, the explanation failed.
The cheapest fix that actually works: Recommending a smaller piece of work costs revenue today and builds the only thing that matters over a decade in a community this size.
No lock-in: You own the code, the accounts and the hosting. Ongoing support should be something you choose, never something engineered into the project.
Say when it is not worth it: Some automations cost more than they save. Some websites do not need rebuilding. Saying so is part of the job.
Build it to be maintained: Mainstream, documented technology over clever technology. In three years the question is who can maintain it, not how interesting it was to write.
Two divisions, one standard: A senior doing a home visit for a stuck printer gets the same care as a six-figure integration. Different scope, same approach.
