Business

Websites designed to generate business.

A website earns its cost by turning visitors into enquiries. Everything else — the design, the stack, the page count — is in service of that or it is decoration.

At a glance

  • Built for speed and Core Web Vitals
  • Structured around customer questions
  • Lead capture wired into your inbox or CRM
  • Yours to keep, with no platform lock-in

Most underperforming websites are not ugly. They are unconvincing.

The common failure is not visual. It is a site that describes the company rather than the customer's problem, buries the one thing a visitor came to check, asks for a form submission before establishing why anyone should trust it, and takes four seconds to become useful on a phone on mobile data.

The fix starts before design: what does someone need to see, in what order, before they are willing to contact you? That ordering drives the page structure, which drives the layout. Done that way, the site is easier to build, easier to rank and easier to update.

Worth rebuilding if

  • Traffic arrives but enquiries do not
  • It is slow or awkward on a phone
  • You cannot update it without paying someone
  • It does not say what you actually do now
  • Forms go to an inbox nobody monitors
  • You are embarrassed to send the link

What it covers

What a Ketweb website build includes

Design and build are the visible part. The parts that decide whether it works are structure, speed and what happens after someone fills in the form.

Structure and message
Working out the questions a buyer asks in order, then building the page and site structure around answering them — not around your org chart.
Design that fits the business
A look that suits your industry and customers rather than whichever template is fashionable. Trades and law firms should not feel like the same company.
Performance as a requirement
Server-rendered pages, optimised images and minimal JavaScript, so it is fast on a mid-range phone rather than only on your desk.
Search foundations
Clean URLs, a logical heading structure, unique titles and descriptions, internal linking, structured data, a sitemap — built in rather than added later.
Conversion paths
Clear primary actions on every page, forms that are short enough to finish, and phone and email links that work properly on mobile.
Lead capture that goes somewhere
Submissions routed into your inbox, CRM or an automated workflow — with attribution attached, so you know which channel produced them.
Measurement from day one
Analytics and conversion tracking configured at launch, not six months later when someone asks whether it is working.
Accessibility and handover
Usable with a keyboard and a screen reader, and handed over with documentation so you are never held hostage by your own website.

What changes

What a working website does for you

  • Turns existing traffic into more enquiries
  • Loads quickly on mobile networks
  • Gives search engines something to rank
  • Sends leads somewhere they get answered
  • Tells you which channels actually work
  • Can be updated without a redesign

How it works

From first call to launch

  1. 01

    Understand the buyer

Who enquires, what they check first and what makes them hesitate. This determines the site structure more than any design preference does.

  2. 02

    Structure and copy direction

Page-by-page structure with the argument each page needs to make, agreed before any visual design work starts.

  3. 03

    Design and build

Built mobile-first, reviewed on real devices, with performance and accessibility checked as it goes rather than at the end.

  4. 04

    Launch and measure

Tracking, search console, redirects from old URLs, and a check on real-world speed once it is live.

FAQ

Questions about this service.

How much does a business website cost?

It depends on scope, and any figure quoted before understanding yours would be wrong. What drives cost is the number of distinct page types, whether copy is written from scratch, and whether the site needs to connect to other systems. You get a fixed scope and price before work starts.

Can you work with our existing website?

Often, yes. If the platform is sound and the problem is structure, speed or messaging, improving what exists is usually cheaper and lower risk than a rebuild. That assessment is part of the free tech audit.

Will we be able to update it ourselves?

Yes. Content you will genuinely change is set up to be editable, and you are shown how. Where a content management system makes sense it is added; where it would only add cost and maintenance, it is not.

Do you handle hosting?

Hosting is set up on infrastructure you own the account for, so you are never locked into a provider relationship through us. Ongoing support is available but is not a condition of the build.

How long does it take?

Most of the timeline is content and decisions rather than development. A focused site moves quickly when copy, photography and approvals are ready; waiting on those is what stretches projects.

Is your website earning its keep?

The free tech audit includes a review of how your current site performs, converts and ranks — with specific changes, not a sales pitch.
